In response to a number of public inquiries about business operators under the SEC supervision, the SEC wishes to clarify that regulated businesses under the SEC supervision refer to securities business under the Securities and Exchange Act of 1992 and derivatives business under the Derivatives Act of 2003. As a variety of information and communication channels become a part of everyday life such as website and social media, the SEC has received inquiries and complains about information or service related to investment provided through such channels and found that it was not provided by those regulated under the SEC supervision.
For public interest, the SEC has prepared the following lists of those who are not regulated under the SEC supervision and will keep the list updated.

Previously, the SEC has received tips or complains from investors who were lured into fraudulent schemes or false information from certain information sources and subsequently lost certain amount of investment. Investors are therefore urged to make careful consideration.
