The SEC is developing a strong Thai capital market that will serve all stakeholders' needs. Based on good corporate governance practices, this market will be an important source of corporate financing and investment for both the private sector and investors.
SEC Secretary-General Vorapol Socatiyanurak received the “Outstanding Booth” award from General Surayud Chulanont, Privy Councillor, at “Money & Banking Awards 2013” on June 14, 2013. The award is in recognition of the SEC booth presented under the theme “SEC Open house” at Money Expo Bangkok 2013 hosted by Money & Banking Magazine.
The SEC held a seminar entitled “Talent Attraction and Retention in Thai Audit Practices” with great success on May 30, 2013 at the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The event highlighted the results of the survey on key attraction and retention factors for audit staff conducted by the SEC and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), as well as the panel discussion on Auditing of “Group Financial Statements,” “Fair Value Measurement,” and “Going Concern” addressed by experts from leading auditing firms.
