SEC opens applications for Secretary-General position from 7 to 27 February

Bangkok, 7 February 2023 – The Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is inviting applicants for the position of Secretary-General, which will become vacant on 1 May 2023. The SEC Board will consider and select applicants deemed suitable for nomination as the Secretary-General, taking into account their knowledge, experience, capital market expertise, and personal qualities.

The ideal candidates should also have other useful experiences for performing the Secretary-General role in alignment with legal intent, vision, mission, and objectives of the SEC to promote, develop and supervise the capital market, while demonstrating good governance characteristics and compatibility with the SEC Code of Ethical Conduct. Individuals lacking appropriateness or displaying traits that compromise trustworthiness for the Secretary-General role will not be considered.

Interested individuals can submit their applications along with supporting documents to the SEC Office between 7 and 27 February 2023, during office hours. The SEC Board will then review and shortlist candidates for submission to the Ministry of Finance for the Cabinet to consider the appointment.
