SEC urges investors to secure their assets before access restrictions of Bybit, 1000X, CoinEx, OKX and XT.COM platforms take effect on 28 June 2025

Thursday 26 June 2025 | No. 160 / 2025

Bangkok, 26 June 2025 – Pursuant to the Royal Decree on Measures for the Prevention and Suppression of Technological Crime (No. 2) B.E. 2568 (2025), effective since 13 April 2025, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) is authorized to restrict access to unauthorized digital asset trading platforms. On 29 May 2025, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) submitted information on such unauthorized platforms, namely (1) Bybit.com, (2) 1000x.live, (3) CoinEx, (4) OKX, and (5) XT.COM to the MDES*. The MDES will proceed to restrict access to these platforms on 28 June 2025, in order to protect investors and prevent unlicensed digital asset trading platforms from being exploited as channels for money laundering by wrongdoers, in line with the legislative intent.

The SEC urges investors who use these platforms to consider withdrawing or transferring their assets from the platforms before 28 June 2025 to protect their interests and prevent any potential impact that may arise after the platforms are blocked.

The SEC advises the public and investors to be cautious when using services of unlicensed DA business operators. The list of unlicensed business operators is available at https://market.sec.or.th/public/idisc/en/InvestorAlert. Additionally, the list of licensed business operators is available at www.sec.or.th and the SEC Check First application. Furthermore, to report any leads concerning suspicious activities, please contact the SEC Complaint Center via Hotline 1207, or the SEC Facebook page: “สำนักงาน กลต.” or the SEC Live Chat on the SEC website, for further in-depth investigation.
