SEC executive appointments, effective 1 January 2026

Bangkok, 16 September 2025 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Board has resolved to appoint a deputy secretary-general and an assistant secretary-general, effective from 1 January 2026, as follows: 

1. Ms. Sucha Boonyanate, currently Assistant Secretary-General for the Legal Division, will serve as Deputy Secretary-General overseeing the Fundraising Division and the Accounting Supervision and Sustainable Development Division;           

2. Mr. Siwakorn Karnasuta, currently Director of the Legal Department – Corporate and Administrative Cases, will serve as Assistant Secretary-General for the Legal Division.  

Ms. Sucha Boonyanate holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Chulalongkorn University, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Sheffield, the United Kingdom. She is also a qualified Thai Barrister-at-Law. Previously, she served as Director of the Regulatory Development Department 1 and Director of the Legal Department 1 before assuming the current position of Assistant Secretary-General for the Legal Division.

Mr. Siwakorn Karnasut holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Thammasat University. Previously, he served as Director of the Legal Consulting and Administrative Cases Department, and Director of the Legal Department 3 before assuming the current position of Director of the Legal Department – Corporate and Administrative Cases.
 
Additionally, the SEC Board has approved the restructuring of the SEC Organization, effective 1 January 2026, with the following divisions under respective Deputy Secretaries-General:         

1. Mr. Thawatchai Pittayasophon, Deputy Secretary-General, overseeing the Legal Division and the Enforcement Division;  
2. Ms. Jomkwan Kongsakul, Deputy Secretary-General, overseeing the Intermediaries Supervision and Market Division, the Investment Management Division, and the Financial Innovation and Digital Technology Division;
3. Mr. Anek Yooyuen, Deputy Secretary-General, overseeing the Strategy and Planning Division, the Stakeholders Relations Division, the Organizational Management Division, and the Digital Technology Division; and
4. Ms. Sucha Boonyanate, Deputy Secretary-General, overseeing the Fundraising Division and the Accounting Supervision and Sustainable Development Division.
