SEC warns against transactions with unlicensed digital asset business operator

Bangkok, 23 November 2018 – SEC notifies public to be extra cautious if engaging with the following 14 websites claiming to be digital asset exchange since they have not been in the list of licensed digital asset business operators.

Following the tips from various sources to SEC, there are solicitations via social media platforms regarding investment in digital assets in addition with claims of several exchange services for trading those digital assets with other cryptocurrency such as Bitcoins and Ethereums, on the following websites:

(2)               https://www.misterchanger.com/

(3)               http://www.thaiexchanger.com/

(4)               https://www.egtexchange.com

(5)               https://digicardshop.com/

(6)               http://www.superrichexchanger.com/

(7)               http://www.emoneythai.com/

(8)               https://www.i-exch.com/

(9)               https://www.exchangercoin.com

(10)                       https://www.gamershoppings.com/

(11)                       https://www.ecurrencyplus.com/

(12)                       http://www.ecurrencythailand.com/

(13)                       https://www.lnwexchanger.com

(14)                       https://www.facebook.com/rexchange168/

 

Currently, it should also be noted that there is no digital asset issuer approved by SEC at the moment. Therefore, investors should proceed with cautions if being solicited or receiving information related to such digital asset investments. The list of licensed digital asset business operators is available at www.sec.or.th/digitalasset.
