SEC–BOT–OIC present certificates to participants of Responsible Voices Project (Class 3), supporting the responsible provision of information

Thursday 28 May 2026 | No. 112 / 2026

Bangkok, 28 May 2026 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in collaboration with the Bank of Thailand (BOT) and the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), jointly congratulated and presented certificates to participants who successfully completed the “Responsible Voices for Finfluencers Project (Class 3),” a collaborative initiative among the three regulatory agencies. The SEC also reiterated its support for the responsible provision of information by finfluencers.

Mrs. Pornanong Budsaratragoon, Secretary General of the SEC, stated, “At present, providers of financial, investment, and insurance information play a significant role in enhancing knowledge for the broader public. The three regulatory agencies have therefore taken this opportunity to promote learning and the responsible provision of information through the “Responsible Voices for Finfluencers Project,” which serves as one of the mechanisms to foster a network of responsible information providers in finance, investment, and insurance. Such providers are expected to recognize the potential impact that information dissemination may have on their followers’ decision-making.

In this regard, the SEC aims to support finfluencers in disseminating information that is accurate, appropriate, and responsible, thereby serving as a key driving force and as positive role models. Participants are encouraged to apply the knowledge gained to deliver quality information, contributing to enhancing the credibility of information dissemination across society.

At the same time, such conduct must not involve the provision of information or advice relating to securities, derivatives, or digital assets that may fall within or exhibit characteristics of unlawful activities under the SEC’s supervision, which would result in enforcement actions in accordance with the applicable legal process.”

The “Responsible Voices for Finfluencers Project” has been implemented since May 2025. It aims to promote the role of providers of financial, investment, and insurance information across various social media platforms, with a view to promoting awareness and understanding of appropriate and responsible information dissemination, while taking into account the potential impacts arising from such information. At the same time, participants receive direct information from the three regulatory agencies regarding their roles, responsibilities, and relevant regulatory frameworks, enabling them to apply such knowledge in communicating effectively with their followers. Class 3 was conducted over two days, on 20 and 28 May 2026. Across all three classes, a total of 93 pages/channels representing 114 participants have been awarded certificates, with a combined following of 34.5 million.
