Bangkok, 21 August 2025 - The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proceeded with its "Campaign on Campus" project for the second year to provide financial and investment knowledge for the youth group, i.e., university students. Following the success of the first year’s project implementation, the SEC aimed to expand the program to the universities in five regions nationwide.

Following the SEC's launch of the pilot Campaign on Campus project in 2024 which aimed to cultivate financial and investment as well as fraud awareness knowledge and skills among students at five universities in Bangkok and its vicinity through edutainment activities, the project was well-received by the participants, with over 1,230 students joining the activities provided. In this connection, a number of students took part in the TikTok contest for financial knowledge sharing with friends through 146 TikTok video clips, generating over 180,000 views and approximately 23,000 engagements. Ten winners of the contest were selected from four universities.

In 2025, the SEC thus continued with the Campaign on Campus Season 2 to further expand the provision of financial and investment knowledge activities to students in five regions nationwide. The goal is to cultivate knowledge and understanding about financial planning, appropriate saving and investing, and awareness of investment scams among the new generation for their sustainable financial health. This year’s first event was held at the College of Asian Scholars in Khon Kaen Province on July 23, 2025, with over 180 interested students participating.

Mr. Anek Yooyuen, SEC Deputy Secretary-General and Spokesperson revealed, "Promoting financial literacy skills is one of the SEC's key missions carried out continuously every year. The goal is to encourage Thai people to make use of the capital market as a tool for their long-term savings, contributing to financial well-being and lifelong achievements of their financial goals. The “Campaign on Campus” project is aligned with the SEC's strategic plan, which aims to provide age-appropriate financial and investment knowledge for target audiences. The success of last year's implementation reflects the organization's responsive arrangements that meet the learning needs of new generation. In 2025, the SEC plans to conduct the Campaign at no fewer than 15 universities in five regions nationwide."

The activities for the Campaign on Campus Season 2 will still emphasize the use of "Edutainment" format, which integrates entertainment elements with the deliberate educational content to make learning more enjoyable. Key highlights include:

·       Investment Simulation Game: Provides students with the opportunity to experiment saving and investing in a variety of products and to practice analyzing realistic situations.

·       Catch Me If You Can Game: Creates a safeguard for students to be aware of harms that may arise from investment scams. Knowledge alone may not be comparable to first-hand experience.

·       Storytelling and Q&A Activities: Helps make complex content more enjoyable and easy-to-understand.

·       "TikTok Contest" on the topic "Sharing financial and investment tips with Gen Z" to win scholarships worth a total of 37,000 baht.

The "Campaign on Campus Season 2" project is now open for application from universities interested to participate.
