Tuesday 5 May 2026 | No. 94 / 2026

Bangkok, 5 May 2026 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) advances cooperation with LINE Company (Thailand) Limited (LINE Thailand) to enhance the prevention of investment fraud and scams for the public, alongside the promotion of knowledge and understanding of investment in the capital market and the digital asset market, through various forms of the SEC’s public communications disseminated via the LINE TODAY channel.

Mrs. Pornanong Budsaratragoon, Secretary-General of the SEC, and Mr. Norasit Sitivechvichit, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LINE Thailand jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the co‑creation and dissemination of content via LINE TODAY to disseminate information materials, enhance the prevention of and protection against investment fraud and scams, alongside the promotion of investment knowledge in the capital market and the digital asset market, at the SEC Office on 5 May 2026.

Mrs. Pornanong Budsaratragoon, SEC Secretary-General, stated: “The SEC places emphasis on fostering cooperation across all sectors, both public and private, to enhance the protection of the public from investment fraud and scams. The SEC also recognizes the importance of promoting and supporting the general public’s sound knowledge and understanding of investment, both in the capital market and the digital asset market. In this context, the dissemination of informational materials through LINE TODAY will facilitate more convenient and broader access for the public to investment‑related information and knowledge resources, enabling outreach to a broad audience as part of the SEC’s key strategies for strengthening investor resilience in the digital era.”

Mr. Norasit Sitivechvichit, CEO of LINE Thailand, stated: “LINE has been continuously committed to enhancing the digital literacy of the Thai public, particularly at a time when people are confronted with an overwhelming volume of information alongside risks from online scams. Building a ‘correct understanding’ is therefore no less important than access to information. This collaboration with the SEC further extends LINE’s role as a platform embedded in the daily lives of Thai users by delivering reliable financial and investment knowledge through LINE TODAY and other services across our ecosystem, to help Thais make higher‑quality and safer financial decisions.”

In this regard, the SEC advises the public to exercise caution when being approached or solicited to invest. If there are any questions as to whether an individual, product, or company is authorized or licensed, the public may report tips or relevant information through the SEC’s Investment Scam Hotline at 1207, press 22, the SEC’s official Facebook page, or the SEC Live Chat available on the SEC’s website, for information verification and further action. In addition, interested persons may follow investment‑related information, news, and informational materials beneficial to investors through the SEC’s social media channels, particularly the new channel on the LINE TODAY platform “สำนักงาน ก.ล.ต.” via Link https://today.line.me/th/v3/publisher/108277 to enhance knowledge and mitigate the risks of falling victim to investment scams.
