SEC seeks public comments on proposed amendments to the TFF regulations to facilitate more flexible fund management

Bangkok, 2 September 2026 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is seeking public comments on a draft notification concerning amendments to the Thailand Future Fund (TFF) management scheme to facilitate more flexible fund management, reduce the fund’s cost burden, and provide appropriate protection of investors’ rights.

 

Previously, the SEC revised the regulations concerning amendments to the TFF management scheme and conducted a public hearing on the proposed principles during May–June 2026, in which most respondents agreed with the proposal. Accordingly, the SEC has drafted the relevant notification in accordance with such principles and is now seeking public comments. In summary, amendments to the mutual fund management scheme in the following matters shall be deemed approved by the SEC:

(1) Amendments to information that result in increased benefits for all unitholders;

(2) Amendments made to comply with the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535 (1992), as well as notifications, rules and orders issued thereunder;

(3) Amendments to correct the names and other details of persons; and

(4) Amendments to the mutual fund management scheme to include details in accordance with the relevant Notification of the SEC Office*.

Stakeholders and interested parties are invited to review the consultation paper and submit comments through these websites or by email to fundraisingpolicy@sec.or.th. The public hearing ends on
2 October 2026.
