SEC extends deadline for SAM’s special audit report submission to 26 April 2025

Bangkok, 27 March 2025 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has granted a deadline extension for Samchai Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SAM) to submit the special audit report on the transactions involving the sale of goods below cost to 26 April 2025, as requested by the company. SAM must also disclose the special audit report through the Electronic Listed Company Information Transmission System of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SETLink).

 

Earlier, the SEC instructed SAM to conduct a special audit and submit the special audit report by 26 March 2025.* The company later requested a deadline extension to 26 April 2025, as it is in the process of selecting an auditor from the SEC Approved List. As conducting a special audit is a crucial matter that may impact the rights and benefits of securities holders or influence investor decisions, SAM’s Board of Directors responsible for the company’s management is advised to expedite the process for the best interests of the company and its shareholders as a whole.

The SEC has therefore instructed SAM to submit the special audit report by 26 April 2025, as requested, and concurrently disclose the report through SETLink.
