SEC conducts inspection of ERX after temporary suspension of operations and finds all client assets remain intact

Wednesday 7 January 2026 | No. 7 / 2026

Bangkok, 7 January 2026 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has inspected ERX Co., Ltd. (ERX), a digital asset exchange operating under the trade name Kucoin Thailand, following its temporary suspension of business operations to ensure that client assets remain intact.

The SEC conducted an inspection of ERX after the company suspended its operations on 3 January 2026, due to failure to maintain the required ongoing capital fund. The SEC prioritized the safety of client assets and found that, as of 6 January 2026, all client assets were secure and complete.

ERX has temporarily suspended its business operations after its capital fund level fell below the minimum requirement during the period from 29 December 2025 to 2 January 2026. Specifically, ERX’s capital fund was less than 60 percent of the minimum capital requirement prescribed for digital asset business operators for five consecutive days. However, once ERX restores its capital fund to the required level, it must obtain approval from the SEC before resuming normal digital asset business operations.

In this regard, the SEC urges investors and ERX clients to stay informed of updates and related news through the communication channels of ERX and the SEC. Additionally, ERX is required to communicate clearly with clients as well as ensure proper care and assistance, as instructed by the SEC.

Clients wishing to withdraw their assets can contact ERX through the following communication channels: Customer Service (Happiness Team) at email happy@kucoin.th (available 24 hours), or by phone at 02-080-6060 (Monday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.). Clients may also reach the SEC via hotline 1207, extension 9.
