Wednesday 6 May 2026 | No. 96 / 2026

Bangkok, 6 May 2026 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) invites the public to visit the SEC booth at Money Expo 2026, to be held from 7–10 May 2026 at Challenger Halls 1–2, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. The booth is organized under the concept “The Mission Against Investment Scams” to enhance the public’s awareness and vigilance regarding investment scam tactics, while providing guidance on channels for reporting tips and seeking consultation in cases where investment scams are suspected.

At the SEC booth, activities are organized into three zones, as follows:

        1) Investment and fundraising sources in the capital market and digital assets market

This zone presents information on investment products in the capital market and digital assets market to enhance understanding of their characteristics and risks. The information covers key products such as mutual funds, provident funds, and debt instruments, as well as sustainability-related products, including socially responsible investment (SRI) funds, sustainability-linked bonds, and green bonds. Information on the scope of the SEC’s regulatory oversight is also provided. In addition, this zone presents information on fundraising channels for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), such as crowdfunding, SME-PO, and SME-PP.

        2) Protection against investment scams

In this zone, information and practical guidance are provided on observations and warning signs of investment solicitation scams, including scam schemes that falsely claim association with digital assets and capital market products, to help the public stay alert to investment scams.

        3) Complaint, tip-off, and inquiry channels

This zone provides information and guidance on channels for submitting tips and complaints, such as the SEC Investment Scams Hotline at 1207 press 22, in cases of unfair treatment or other misconduct in the capital market, as well as for inquiries regarding general capital market information.

Mr. Anek Yooyuen, Deputy Secretary-General and Spokesperson of the SEC, stated: “Another activity not to be missed is a series of seminars conducted in a relaxed and informal atmosphere in the form of fireside chats. Participants will have the opportunity to listen to interesting discussions with experienced guest speakers from the capital market, digital asset, and fundraising sectors under four topics: (1) How to start investing in a way that suits you; (2) Investing in the digital era: opportunities and risks; (3) Crowdfunding as an alternative for small businesses and investors; and (4) How to invest safely and avoid scams. Visitors who attend the live sessions at the SEC booth and participate in interactive games on understanding investment products and recognizing investment scams will receive souvenirs available only at this event. Those interested can also follow the sessions via Facebook Live on the SEC’s official Facebook page.”

The public is invited to visit the SEC booth at Money Expo 2026 Bangkok, from 7–10 May 2026, at booth J6, Challenger Halls 1–2, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
