The SEC, the BOT, and the OIC are jointly implementing the Responsible Voices for Finfluencers Project (Class 3) to promote the responsible provision of information on finance, investment, and insurance. In this class, 60 individuals applied to participate, and 28 pages/channels (35 individuals) met the eligibility requirements. To date, the three regulatory authorities have organized two classes of the Project, with a total of 74 pages/channels participating and a combined following of up to 28 million accounts. At the same time, many participants have placed greater emphasis on responsible information sharing by clearly citing sources and choosing to work with business operators licensed by the regulatory authorities. This is regarded as an important development, reflecting joint support across all sectors for responsible information sharing, including information providers, followers or information recipients, and regulators.
The continued implementation of this Project is also aligned with the SEC Strategic Plan 2026–2028, which aims to promote investors’ sound financial well-being and foster a long-term investment culture. The Plan focuses on building a society of quality information by strengthening networks, raising standards of responsibility, and encouraging investors to obtain information from reliable sources.
Mrs. Pornanong Budsaratragoon, Secretary General of the SEC, stated: “This Project has brought about change and served as a catalyst for participants to recognize their own roles and the impact of providing financial information. The emphasis placed by participants on responsibility in information sharing reflects their intention to present useful information in a straightforward manner. In addition, participants are informed of appropriate practices for information provision for application in practice. The Project has also contributed to network building and provided a platform for the exchange of experiences among information providers, while enabling participants to play a role in disseminating useful information from regulatory authorities to the broader public. These elements constitute an important part of helping participants recognize their own influence in responsible information provision and to take into account the impact on followers and society as a whole.”
For Class 3, activities were organized to enhance understanding of appropriate approaches to providing information on finance, investment, and insurance, and to highlight cases that may pose a risk of non-compliance with regulatory requirements. Examples of social media posts were used as case studies to support understanding of the relevant rules and regulations, and additional content relating to capital market participants was incorporated to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the capital market context. The Project also included panel discussions on key considerations regarding the impact of posting, with representatives from leading social media platforms, as well as experience sharing by participants from earlier classes on techniques and responsible information provision. These activities provided participants with opportunities to expand their networks and engage in collaboration with information providers, including participants who had previously completed the program and all three regulatory authorities.
The Third Responsible Voices for Finfluencers Project is being held on 20 May and 28 May 2026 at the SEC Office. Participants will take part in educational activities and engage with others in the same professional field. Participants who meet the prescribed criteria will receive certificates, and the names of those who have successfully completed the program will be disclosed on the SEC website at https://www.sec.or.th/responsiblevoices. In addition, participants will have opportunities to join networking activities with participants from other rounds of the Project to further advance the development of a society of responsible provision of information.
