The “Money Story for Influencer” project is organized to provide an opportunity for influencers, not limited to those in the financial field, to learn about and gain an understanding of the roles of financial sector agencies, as well as various types of financial, investment and insurance products. It also aims to enable them to apply the knowledge in their communications and help reduce misunderstandings among the public. A total of 69 applicants expressed interest in joining the project, with 34 qualified pages/channels, comprising 36 participants, participating in the project. The first day of activities commenced at the SEC Office on 25 June 2026, with 22 pages/channels, comprising 24 participants, participating in the activities.
Mrs. Pornanong Budsaratragoon, SEC Secretary-General, said: “As the role and influence of influencers continue to grow, responsibility in communication becomes increasingly important, particularly on matters that may affect people’s financial decisions, whether in relation to savings, investment, insurance or financial planning. Although many content creators may not directly provide financial information, they may have opportunities to present or refer to these matters in various everyday-life contexts.
This collaboration by the four organizations therefore aims to create a learning space on finance, investment and insurance to enable influencers to use information to support financial storytelling in an appropriate and responsible manner.”
The Money Story for Influencer project will be held on two separate days: 25 June 2026 at the SEC Office and 2 July 2026 at the SET. Participants will attend sessions led by experts from the four organizations and distinguished speakers, covering topics on finance, investment and insurance, as well as financial and tax management for influencers and guidelines for providing financial and investment information responsibly. Participants who meet the criteria will receive certificates after completing the project.
