The Public Empowerment through Capital Market Knowledge Initiative* is one of the key measures under the Ministry of Finance’s Financial Literacy Development Action Plan for the years 2022–2027. Under the initiative, the SEC and various sectors of the Thai capital market have pooled the expertise, knowledge, and communication channels of their respective organizations to develop financial and investment knowledge activities and materials in diverse formats, with the aim of enabling the public to access the information and knowledge needed for financial planning and appropriate investment decisions, as part of efforts to build financial resilience among the Thai public. Over the past year, a diverse range of knowledge activities and materials has been developed for different target groups, serving as one of the mechanisms that broaden opportunities for public access to financial and investment knowledge through collaboration across the Thai capital market.

The ceremony thus expresses appreciation for organizations, networks, and individuals, and highlights the importance of jointly building a financial and investment learning society that enables the public to apply such knowledge appropriately in their daily lives, while inspiring the continued development of high-quality knowledge activities and materials.

The award presentation ceremony for the “Public Empowerment through Capital Market Knowledge Initiative Phase 2 (2026)” is held as part of the World Investor Week 2026 (WIW 2026), an international campaign to promote financial and investment knowledge, understanding, and awareness among the public.

The event will also feature two other key SEC initiatives to promote financial and investment knowledge: the presentation of certificates to Thai listed companies that have fostered their employees’ knowledge and understanding of financial and investment planning under the “Financial Well-being in Workplace” project, and the presentation of awards to content creators for producing high-quality financial and investment content under the “Fin Talk with TikTok” campaign.
