SEC announces listed companies may consider postponing AGM if affected by Covid-19 spread

Monday 30 March 2020 | No. 67 / 2020

Bangkok, 30 March 2020 – Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which may cause many listed companies to be unable to hold the annual general shareholders’ meeting (AGM) or to delay the meeting beyond the period specified by the Public Limited Companies Act, SEC hereby announces the following:

Listed companies may postpone the AGM holding based on their discretion; however, a written clarification of the reason for the postponement must be submitted to the registrar on a case-by-case basis after the AGM meeting has been held.

This postponement option is pursuant to the Notification of the Department of Business Development regarding Measures for Handling the Spread of COVID-19 in Case of Possible Impact on the Holding of Juristic Person’s Meeting B.E. 2563 (2020), dated 4 March 2020,
