SEC public warning of solicitation for investment in digital assets

Bangkok, 18 February 2020 – SEC is advising the public to be cautious about the solicitation for investment in seven digital assets which are not on the list of SEC-approved digital assets or under SEC’s supervision.

Following the tips from various sources to SEC, it has been found that there are several solicitations via social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube for investment in seven products that may be liable to be digital assets (called by many names such as coin, token or digital coin), as follows: 

(1)  REALASSET (RACOIN)

(2)  CTE Token by CT Online Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

(3)  CXA by Cryptovation Co., Ltd.

(4)  EXW by EXW GLOBAL AG or VIVAEXCHANGE OÜ

(5)  AEC point, AECrichs, AEC saving, Bit Wazario (BWO) and Bit Wazario Cash                 (BWC) By Wasario AEC Asset Co., Ltd.

(6)  Free Promotional Token (FPT) and Orientum Plus (ORTP) by Cloud Horizon                    Limited

(7)  Xenium (XENM) by Veritas Mining Company

SEC hereby notifies that the seven products above are not on the list of SEC-approved digital assets or under SEC’s supervision. SEC therefore advises investors to be careful if solicited to invest in such products.

Investors must be seriously aware of the risks involved and, if interested to make an investment, contact only legally approved digital asset business operators. For inquiries or tips on suspicious acts, please call SEC Help Center 24-hour Hotline at 1207 for further investigation. Any act liable to be an offense under the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535 (1992), the Derivatives Act. B.E. 2546 (2003), or the Emergency Decree on Digital Asset Businesses B.E. 2561 (2018), may be subject to legal proceedings and penalties of fine and imprisonment. In case of liable offenses under other laws, SEC will cooperate with relevant agencies for further proceedings.
