Thursday 17 May 2018 | No. 52 / 2018

Bangkok, 17 May 2018 - SEC, together with SET and the Thai Listed Companies Association, organized a seminar for listed companies on May 17, 2018 at the SET building entitled “Disclosure of Information in Accordance with the New CG Code” to prepare for the application of Corporate Governance Code (CG Code) with a view to create sustainable values to businesses.

Executives and representatives from key public and private agencies such as the Thai Listed Companies Association, Tisco Financial Group Public Company Limited, the Thai Institute of Directors Association, PricewaterhouseCoopers ABAS Limited, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Jaiyos Company Limited and Kasikorn Asset Management Company Limited participated in a discussion on preparation and disclosure in accordance with the new CG Code. Participants from more than 250 listed companies were in attendance.

SEC Senior Assistant Secretary-General Waratchya Srimachand said that this seminar is intended to help listed companies understand that despite the requirement to disclose the implementation of CG Code in the form 56-1, such requirement is merely to assist the board of directors to apply CG Code principles into their business practice in order to create sustainable value in the face of external uncertainties. In this regard, SEC, SET, IOD and Thai Listed Companies Association are ready to assist and give support by proving various forms of training so that the listed companies can apply CG Code in a more practical way and suitable to their organizational contexts.
