SEC opens consultation clinic for business operations and fund raising approval under Royal Decree on Digital Asset Businesses B.E. 2561 (2018)

Bangkok, 18 June 2019 – SEC has opened a consultation clinic related to granting license for digital asset operation and approving fund raising under the Royal Decree on Digital Asset Businesses, B.E. 2561 aiming to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the law and regulation of the public. Interested parties are welcome to call Help Center at 1207 (press 4) for appointment with SEC officials at no cost.

SEC Secretary-General Ruenvadee Suwanmongkol said “after the royal decree on digital asset businesses, B.E. 2561 came into force since 14 May 2018, it has attracted much interest from the public, particularly new-gen groups, for digital asset and fund raising businesses operation such as issuance of digital tokens or ICOs.

As such, “SEC finds it necessary to enhance knowledge and understanding concerning related laws and regulations of the target groups via the SEC clinic to give advice on this issue. Interested persons are welcome to call SEC Help Center at 1207 (press 4) to talk to SEC officials or make an appointment for consultation service at SEC office without any charge.”

Simultaneously, SEC has also improved its internal work process in receiving information, clues and complaints regarding digital assets from the public through war room operation. This is an integration to streamline all work processes to ensure timely legal execution and prevention of damages to people particularly those persuaded or deceived to invest in digital assets.
