The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in
collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), co-organized
a workshop entitled “Advancing Towards Sustainable Development Goals and
Addressing Risks and Opportunities from Climate Change for Thai Listed
Companies.” The initiative aimed to equip listed companies with the ability to efficiently
integrate Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their business operations,
while also understanding the risks and opportunities in the context of Sustainability.
The workshop provided insights into the connection between the SDG Impact
Standards framework and the IFRS S1 and S2 reporting frameworks for managing
impacts arising from climate change. Additionally, the workshop assisted
companies in systematically developing evaluative frameworks and management of
sustainability impacts, as well as preparation of disclosure via Form 56-1 One
Report according to established standards. The event was attended by 40
participants from 20 companies and took place in Bangkok during 7-8 August
2025.
