The Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC), in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn
University, conducted a workshop on Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) under the
“Business and Human Rights for Thai Capital Market Businesses” project
(Phase 4). The workshop aimed to promote business practices that respect human
rights in line with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human
Rights (UNGPs) and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on
Responsible Business Conduct. The program focused on the practical
implementation of HRDD throughout the value chain and the facilitation of
related disclosures in the Form 56-1 One Report.
Ms. Julawadee Woraksyothin,
Director of the Sustainable Development Department, delivered the opening
remarks. Associate Professor Dr. Suphasit Taweejamsup, Dean of the Faculty of
Law, Chulalongkorn University, together with faculty members, served as speakers
and conducted the workshop. The event was held at the Grande Centre Point
Ratchadamri Hotel, Bangkok, on 29 January 2026.
The
Phase 4 workshop series comprised eight sessions categorized by industry
sector. This session was the second workshop for the consumer products sector,
with 29 participants representing 16 listed companies on the Stock Exchange of
Thailand (SET) and the Market for Alternative Investment (mai). Participants
attended the training and shared best practices.
