The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in collaboration with UN Women and the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), co-hosted the Ring the Bell for Gender Equality 2026 to demonstrate the commitment of Thailand’s capital market sector and partner organizations to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Pornanong Budsaratragoon, SEC Secretary-General, highlighted the SEC’s role in fostering a sustainable capital market ecosystem that delivers tangible benefits to all stakeholders. She emphasized the importance of encouraging listed companies to integrate human rights and gender equality principles—key elements of environmental, social, and governance (ESG)—into their business operations throughout the entire value chain, or ESG in Practice.
During the event, Professor Dr. Pornanong joined Dr. Angela Macdonald, Australian Ambassador to Thailand; Ms. Christine Arab, Regional Director of UN Women Asia and the Pacific and UN Women Representative to Thailand; and Mr. Asadej Kongsiri, SET President, in ringing the bell for gender equality at the SET. The event was live-streamed via Facebook Live on the official pages of all three organizations on 17 March 2026.
The replay is also available on the SEC’s Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/sec.or.th/posts/1678304769965171
