SEC participates in the “Building Digital Resilience Among Thais Against Online Threats by 1212 ETDA” initiative in Rayong Province

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) participated in a public education activity under the project “Building Digital Resilience Among Thais Against Online Threats by 1212 ETDA,” organized by the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA). On this occasion, Mr. Sophon Kaewlomsup, representative of the Rayong Provincial Office of Social Development and Human Security, served as the chair of the opening session of the program “TAP or TRAP : Outsmart Online Scams: Avoid Traps, Block Criminal Pathways.”  In this regard, Mrs. Suttikunya Kanjanaskul, Deputy Director of the Capital Market Education Department of the SEC, served as a panellist in the session titled “Keeping Up with Online Threats: Stay Safe Every Day,” aimed at strengthening scam‑prevention awareness and resilience among 186 senior participants. She highlighted common forms of online investment scams and key warning signs to help the public protect themselves from becoming victims, while emphasizing the SEC’s commitment to investor protection and promoting the SEC’s public assistance channel, the “Investment Scam Hotline 1207 press 22.” In addition, the SEC operated an education booth at the event, which received significant interest from attendees, reflecting heightened awareness of online investment fraud risks. The event was held in Rayong Province on 12 March 2026.
