The
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), led by Mrs. Pornanong Budsaratragoon,
Secretary-General, together with the SEC’s executives, notably Mr. Anek
Yooyuen, Deputy Secretary-General and Spokesperson, and Miss Jomkwan Kongsakul,
Deputy Secretary-General, held a meeting with the Association of Thai
Securities Companies (ASCO), led by Mr. Pichet Sithi-Amnuai, Chairman, together
with board members and ASCO members, comprising executives and representatives
from 40 securities and derivatives companies.
At
the meeting, both parties exchanged views on the securities business
environment, including business conditions and the overall workforce outlook
for 2025, as well as proposals to reduce operational obstacles faced by market
participants. In addition, the SEC communicated its policy directions to
support product issuance and business services, improvements
to regulations governing Depositary Receipts (DRs), and the development of
guidelines to enhance KYC/CDD practices. The SEC also promoted the integration
of ESG factors into investment research for 2026, together with the “Thai
Capital Market: United in Empowering Communities with Knowledge Project – Phase
2 (2026)”. The meeting was held at the SEC Building on 28 April 2026.
