The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in collaboration with the Biodiversity-Based Economy Development Office (Public Organization) (BEDO), organized a workshop titled “Enhancing Understanding of Biodiversity and the Assessment of Dependencies, Impacts, Risks, and Opportunities in Line with International Practices.” The event was opened by Mrs. Pornanong Budsaratragoon, SEC Secretary-General, and welcomed by Mr. Thanit Changthaworn, Director of BEDO. Speakers from the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage and BEDO delivering insights and facilitating interactive activities during the workshop, and was held at the SEC Building on 18, 20, and 22 May 2026.
The workshop aimed to enhance readiness and strengthen the capacity of listed companies and relevant stakeholders by raising awareness of the importance of biodiversity. It also promoted the practical application of tools for assessing nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities (DIROs) in the formulation of business strategies and policies across the value chain in a concrete and sustainable manner.
