SEC exchanges views on capital market development with ASIFMA’s ESG Committee

25 June 2026

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), led by Mrs. Pornanong Budsaratragoon,                             Secretary-General, together with SEC managements and staffs, met with members of the ESG Committee of the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA) to present and exchange views on Thailand’s sustainable capital market development. The presentation covered initiatives to strengthen Thailand’s ESG ecosystem through both demand- and supply-side approaches. Key topics included enhancing the capacity of listed companies via the Corporate Value Up and Jump+ projects; promoting sustainability-related disclosures in accordance with ISSB standards; advancing Thailand’s sustainable bond market from green finance to transition finance; and encouraging long-term investment through fund mechanisms, including the SRI Fund, the Thai ESG Fund, the Thailand Future Fund (TFFIF), the Vayupak Fund 1, and provident funds.

ASIFMA participants expressed strong interest in Thailand’s progress in advancing sustainble capital market development and the country’s significant role in promoting sustainable finance in the region. They also look forward to further strengthening and continuing their collaboration with the SEC.
