The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), led by Ms. Pornanong Budsaratragoon, Secretary-General, together with Mr. Surasak Ritthongpitak and Ms. Nopnuanparn Pavasant, Assistant Secretaries-General, held discussions with representatives from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and the U.S. Embassy Bangkok.

The discussions focused on potential cooperation on  law enforcement  to prevent and mitigate the risks of the capital and digital asset markets being misused as channels for technology-related crimes. The parties also discussed strengthening cooperation in preventing, suppressing, and taking legal action against related offenses. The meeting was held at the SEC Building on 25 September 2026.
