  • Supports the development of regulatory frameworks and tools to promote sustainable finance and transition finance.

  • Serves as a reference for data collection and disclosure of environmentally sustainable activities (taxonomy-aligned disclosure).

  • Functions as a policy tool for the government in promoting the green economy, sustainable finance, and climate change policy objectives

  • ​National and regional roles and importance: Each country or region faces different environmental challenges and policy objectives, and therefore requires a taxonomy framework tailored to national and regional contexts.​

  • Alignment with domestic laws and regulations: National sustainability frameworks must be consistent with local laws and regulatory requirements in order to effectively support sustainable development.
